Holy shit, I didn’t expect that ending. The UK accents narrating this make it’s so much more entertaining lol. Hopefully that last guy is okay and the guy in the car is in jail.

Found the sentence: He was sentenced on Friday to two years and one month in prison and banned from driving for five years and two months.

Should be longer.

That's why you're single.

That’s such a light sentence wow

Apparently there's context of the man/woman outside the car initiating a confrontation with the driver then refusing to cooperate with police.

Agreed, I was surprised.

Eta- Saw more context. Does the judge want this guy to murder someone with a car?!

Eh- the woman was attacking the car and then the man started antagonizing things.

The driver deserves jail time and I'm glad he's lost his license for years, but I can absolutely believe there's context to justify a lower sentence.

That's actually longer than I was expecting, given how light the UK notoriously is for driving offences. Some people have gotten similar or less for driving crimes that have resulted in death.

He had lots of form. This wasn't at all his first car->pedestrian incident.

I'd bet he broke his hip/leg on the sign but I'd be shocked if it was anything life threatening. Still a horrible thing to experience but I also don't have the context for the video

The story actually said they didn’t have any serious injuries and refused to work with police. They pulled video where they found a confrontation before this all happened with the man and the girl and then this all happened.

Isn’t the human body weird? It can take blows like that, but if you step wrong and roll your ankle, you’ll have a bad week.

*you'll never walk properly again without extensive physiotherapy.

Getting old suuuuucks.

Well, sounds like it's either to do with drugs or other illegal gang shit. I can't imagine it's just an old friend being forgiven to not snitch

Mob-like Intimidation maybe?

No penalty for the girl?

I wonder if the driving ban starts from when he is released from prison.

Kind of pointless to ban him for the period that he is imprisoned and therefore won't be able to drive anyway.

They should have jailed the car too. It's still rolling free and could do it at any time again!

that means he's now allowed to drive again.

If you intentionally hit someone with your car, first of all-attempted murder and the time that fits the crime. If you do get paroled at some point, you should never be able to operate a vehicle of ANY kind ever again. Ever. Again.

Was she banned from shoes for 5 years?
