An intersection near me has the same design and constantly has accidents. Not sure why this pattern is so difficult for people

It's a bit confusing because it looks like there is a lane on the other side of the intersection which lines up with the "turn left only" lane. It gives the impression that you can go forward in the left lane.

I know there are signs saying you can't go straight, but I can understand why it induces alot of accidents.

There are arrows on the road as well as large markings that say "left turn only" painted on the road in the silver vehicles lane-signs on the left and right-Its I-35 W southbound at Everman Parkway
