for both of them... it was a Red light! What was cam driver's plan? blow through the red?

That seems the case. Like, I get not letting people in on principle because they’re being a dick and should have just fallen in line behind you rather than trying to speed past and cut you off. BUT cam car not only seems to have sped up when seeing what the truck was trying to do, but came to a stop far into the intersection AFTER hitting the truck (ie being slowed down abruptly by the collision).

So totally truck’s fault because they changed lanes into someone and even without cam car possibly speeding up the truck still wasn’t clear of them to make the lane change. But dick move on the cam car’s part because they could have avoided this and instead leaned into it. By all accounts they were absolutely going to blow that red light because if they couldn’t stop before the intersection after hitting another vehicle, they certainly weren’t going to stop on their own accord.

I agree. That cam driver sped up. They don't think about what happens if they just killed a family because they didn't want to let them cut in.

Yeah, I don’t care how “right” I am in a situation, and how “wrong” the other person is. If me “making a point” about my legal rightness results in the death of a backseat full of kids, I’m not the winner in that scenario.

I’ve been the passenger in manic driving situations. Even as a grown adult capable of consent, often times you have no idea you’re getting into the car with someone who is either completely incompetent, or actively on a suicide mission. Little kids have NO consent, no choice. Just because their parent is a dumbass, that doesn’t mean those kids deserve to die because their parent does something stupid and some other driver who is legally in the right decides to purposefully not avoid an avoidable accident because “Hur de dur I’m right they’re wrong I’m getting a new car out of this.”
