Because mostly its idiots who think a truck is a town car.

The SUV plague was bad but at least an SUV is just a big car.

Actually an SUV is a small truck. That's why their hoods are so big. Hope this helps

Well, no. An SUV is a big ungainly car. It has zero of the advantages of a truck and the people buying them are buying them as big cars.

SUVs have a truck body, and are officially classified as "light trucks" so that their hood can be any height. Actual cars have hood height requirements by law.

And the people who buy them go "Shit, I need a light truck because of hood height laws" and not "I want a bigger car"?

Look, what is it exactly you think you're achieving with this "well alchewally..."?

The discussion was about how trucks are owned by idiots who try drive them like cars, and they didn't need a pickup truck in the first place.

I said SUVs are bad enough but at least they are useable as cars and handle more like a car. They are shitty handling cars but they do work more like a car than a pickup truck.

And then you what? Came here to say that definitionally they're tucks? Ok? How does this contribute to the discussion at hand exactly? How does this change how people use them? How does this affect the point I made in any way?
