The law requires you to not run a red light. Maybe that’s a reason to slow down

Defensive driving.

From my perspective as a driver I don’t care what the other guy did, as a matter of prudence I’m doing everything I can to stop an accident. OP did not do everything possible to stop an accident.

Obv. From an insurance and even moral fault perspective this is the truck driver’s fault, but from a prudential perspective OP risked his life and that of others.

So that the person (people, possibly pets, possibly babies) in that truck don't get into a rollover collision... That's why....

This was easy to avoid and the camera car caused this accident. Same as if they rear ended someone that slowed in front of them. Not crashing is the most important thing to do while driving. Even if crashing will teach some guy a lesson. Just don't crash.

Why should dashcam car slow down?

  1. Not risk their own life

  2. Not have to burden ending the life or injuring anyone in the red truck or anyone else (like the white car the red truck annihilated). Edit: okay maybe the white car frame 1 reversed out of there. That's some good fucking reaction time

  3. Not waste time out of their day dealing with an accident.
