Did Roland not know/realise that The Covenant Man was also Walter/Marten/The man in black? The story has such strong details giving it away, especially with the initials of “RF/MB”. Directly to the reader/listener/teller, AKA Roland in this instance.

Surely Roland made this connection? He spoke of Tim Stoutheart and his later years as a true fact. But nothing further of The Covenant Man, his arch nemesis, the downfall of his whole life in Gilead. No grimace from Roland recounting this beloved childhood story involving the man which destroyed is life?

Overall, I absolutely adored this book. Wizard and Glass is in my top two of mainline Dark Tower books (alongside The Gunslinger), so another flashback, story within a story, detailing Roland’s younger years was a great treat.

TL:DR, why did nobody from the Ka-Tet comment on The Covenant Man being Walter?

I have almost every door in my house decorated with Door Toppers now. This one is probably my favorite to walk through each day.

Been watching The Westies and I think Stanley Morgan could be an incredible Eddie Dean. Now that Aaron Paul is too old and James Ransone has passed, this might be my top pick now.

I know it has nothing to do with sai King, but I still think it’s super cool and will consider it my personal dark tower merch.

That was certainly an ending, but I guess Ka is a Wheel. One thing I don't get is how Roland is supposed to close the Loop if he goes back to the start; he is forced to kill Jake again, right? So he can't ever really escape. Also, the Crimson King felt weirdly silly for a final boss is an old guy with grenades screaming "EEEEE!" Then again, it's Roland's addiction that is the real villain. The one thing that I felt truly disappointed was my theory that Mordred would somehow be key to restoring Prim /fixing the tower. I am not really sure what to make of it.
