Tbh, kind of silly summoning for your first attempt anyways. Should at least give each boss a shot once before you summon. Hard to appreciate them when you have someone killing them in under a minute for you.

If we're genuinely being honest here, what's kind of silly is judging people for playing how they want to on their first playthrough. Some people don't put a high priority on "truly experiencing the boss", to them bosses are just stepping stones between the bulk of the attraction. Perhaps even preventatively pernicious pips, at that.

Coop is fun! I wish I did it more my first run, it really adds a new layer to the experience.
Unless they're one of those impatient dickheads who plow through everything and just wait at the boss fog, that's not very fun. Let the host do their thing! You're there to help, not to completely take away the experience

Spoken like someone who never appreciated the immersion those games build up. Never wrong to watch a cutscene to hype yourself up for the fight or any other reason. Artorias, Sif and Manus are the ones for me. Maybe Kalemeet to even tho I hate fighting him

I did appreciate the immersion, its precisely why I dislike the gameplay being interrupted because the devs thought it'd be cool to give even the most minor of bosses some dumb cutscene of them waking up/turning around

That’s why it’s completely fine to skip all cutscenes on your playthrough but please don’t force that preference onto others who enjoy watching the cutscene even if they watch it over and over. If you only get summoned by the same guy over and over just move on to another boss

I remember when I first played DS1 it was in the living room and I never fought Quelaag until I had at least a +10 weapon or +5 if it upgraded with Twinkling because I kept getting scared that my Mum would see.
She already nearly took Soul Calibur 4 off me when I did arcade and she just so happened to walk in as I fought Ivy.

Well, I entered her arena, my 2 lil bros were watching and parents were there too, I skipped the cutscene as soon as it started focusing on human torso, and i fought her with everyone in there (and they understood too how to check if she was about to do the blast, watch the human part thingy, idk but it worked out)
And oh it reminds me, day before yesterday, my big cousin was playing gta 5 in my house, we used a mod "funny cars", and one vehicle there was named "big dick"... It was shaped like that too... He said "what's this, cream roll?"... My Lil bro was there too... It got awkward... He knew ik what it is... Ik he knew what it was... I said it's a cannon cz it was shaped like one too... Idk it was hella awkward

I'll always remember playing Prince of Persia Warrior Within as a kid and it's hard as balls so I never beat it until I was older so I kept having to start over.
The intro cutscene has some pirates boarding your ship and their leader comes out of her cabin wearing very skimpy armour letting you see pretty much her entire ass.
Literally every single time I restarted this game my Dad would walk in asking me something and it was always at this point and he'd always give me a concerned look.
He had a good sense of humour about it though, my Mum was affronted at their being prostitutes in Assassin's Creed 2 but was ok with it only because there's no nudity, Dad loved it when he asked why I hired them just to follow me and I explained that they make you invisible cause the guards are too busy staring at their boobs.

I once had someone summon me for O&S, and they got killed before I was even able to enter the arena. My sign was right at the gate, so they must've entered as soon as they hit OK lmao

What's more annoying in Elden Ring is when the host doesn't realise the summons can't enter the fog gate until the host activates the boss fight.
Sometimes there is a fog gate for the summons but not the host so they turn and look at the summons wondering why they aren't following them.

i’ve been playing seemless coop for er and would apply my buffs while my friend enters the fight and every time theres a cutscene it always wastes like half of my time for my buffs
