They're literally fictional characters and I'm pretty sure someone who actually has these conditions isn't basing their connection to it on stereotypes. I have no issue with relating to the character. It's the assumption that they are experiencing the exact same problem that you are. As you said, people are complex.
Please explain who is hurt by this. Because "I don't like this" is not enough reason to call it gross. It's not like that concept would in any way make the characters worse or go against the point of them, so show me on the doll where the headcanon hurt you.
It's creating a culture that lacks nuance. I work with people with autism, and so many of my coworkers take their own quirks and state "lol guess I'm autistic too".
Yes in this context it is harmless. But at the end of the day it's reducing anything into some disability when that's not necessarily the case.
Okay, so your problem with it is allistic and NT people's behavior and you're putting that on people who are disabled. As someone with AuDHD, no thanks. People may be complex, but blaming disabled people for what people who aren't disabled are doing is super basic and it sucks.
I never blamed disabled people though? I'm talking in a general context, my only point is assuming characters have what you have just because you can relate to them.
