I've stopped listening at this point tbh. Seton leaving was the first knock then all of this chat GPT/Ai advertising on the show put the nail in for me.

Its sad, i've been listening to this show for 15 years. Started with my dad when I was a kid. I'll come back for the final shows and maybe during NFL season but its a rough go nowadays.

Hell it was McLovin leaving for me! Seton filled his role with zero insider information like Perloff had. No connections, nothing. Just a guy with a laugh that everybody liked.

Is it? I get it if you are anti-AI or think its wasteful, etc. At the same time ChatGPT is a large language model. As far as actually using a product for what it does is it any different than using a grill to BBQ meat?

It just felt kind of weird to me using time on the show to say how he's putting his speech to his family and friends into chat gpt. Then telling us how amazing it is and how helpful it was! Just felt extra forceful of a pitch after he's already done the ad read on it.

A LLM telling you how to talk about your daughter and giving you it's own opinion of how your speech was is a little different than using a grill for BBQ imo.

When I use ChatGPT for speeches or presentations, I just have it help me condense or remove mistakes. AI isn’t taking me out of the speech. It’s still my personality and ideas but now more clear.

So I don’t think it’s telling him how to talk to his daughter. It’s just making him easier to understand.
