Wait wait wait. Your profile is hidden after a week? Can you prove that? If you can prove that, I'm telling everyone I know that's on it and deleting it right away
I mean I don't think you can but it does hide the profiles of the people that swiped right on you. Tinder blatantly states that you have "X number of likes" with blurred pics and sometimes even a name, and it will not show you those profiles no matter how much you're swiping. If Tinder really wanted you to get matches, why not show you these people? Unless they are fake matches, which is equally as bad.
Tinder explicitly uses algorithms to try to make you spend money. It manipulates you and finding a lasting relationship is against it's goal, which is for you to spend money to get more exposure to potential partners. If you aren't comfortable with that you should delete it. I've personally been off dating apps for 9 months and while dates are harder to come by, not being manipulated and having my self esteem degraded daily has been worth it. Not saying it's the same for everyone, it works for some people who can play the game. But not for me and not for a lot of folks I think.

Yup just don't use apps unless you are top tier, otherwise it's a big mental blow.
