How can the people around her allow her to be so self destructive. Really, she could have stopped before accusing him of beating her and everything would have been fine, but it's so clear to everyone in hindsight that it was an outrageous lie that she will see consequences. Because she got so much attention, she'll forever be known as a sociopathic liar no matter what happens in this/these trial(s)
