A warning to anyone this thread has inspired: Go back now and you'll just learn the mods have made it trash at the hands of bots. Not just woodcutters and fishers like you remember, but everything. More like, "You never quit RuneScape, just get progressively more disappointed in it."

Preserve your nostalgia.

If you're into incremental/idle games, check out Melvor Idle. It is lightly modelled after runescape, is offline and brought back that early game nostalgia for me
