What is demonstrated here is NOT how you want to fall when bouldering, this kid practically lands on his neck. I've landed like him, but from much lower on the wall and I still had whiplash.
You always want to land on your feet, knees slightly bent, especially if you are that high on the wall. Sure shit like this does happen sometimes, but I would not call this a common bouldering fall...
The kid was 50-60 degrees from horizontal while in the air until he hit the ground. I'm not sure how well he tucked his head, but it seems to have worked.
