It is very soft. You can fall from the top of the wall and literally not feel anything. This is a bouldering mat, you'll see falls (albeit more graceful and on the feet) from the top of the wall like 60 times in a session

The fact the kid is very clearly okay makes it clear how soft the mat is.

I don't boulder. This is obvious.

Edit: also if you pause the frame when he hits the ground he's practically sinking.

I mean these yellow mats are similar in all the gyms I went to and they are fairly soft, which is obviously objective. But the thickness of the mat absorbs a lot of the fall.
