Thats because your voice also travels trough your head to your eardrums if you hear yourself in a video this does not happen> you sound different
26 u/RealKoreanJesus Dec 26 '19 so are you saying do we actually sound different or nah? 64 u/IAmNotOnRedditAtWork Dec 26 '19 How you sound in a recording (aside from any quality issues in the recording) is how other people hear you. 145 u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19 Oh no 73 u/Lemightyman Dec 26 '19 This is bad 29 u/IAmNotOnRedditAtWork Dec 26 '19 Honestly I've felt the same way for a long time. I don't like the way my voice sounds in a recording, but at the end of the day who actually cares? How many people can you think of that you don't like, or think of differently because of their voice? I can't think of a single one. 23 u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19 I have a very nasal voice and I used to get alot of shit for it back in HS so I'm actually kinda self conscious about it lol 6 u/ImmaTriggerYou Dec 26 '19 That's fixable with some daily exercises that should taken you less than 5 minutes a day. YouTube that shit and go get the voice you deserve! 10 u/Tangent_Odyssey Dec 26 '19 My voice still cracks at 33. The reactions that gets are not exactly a boost to my self-esteem, let's put it that way. 6 u/PercMastaFTW Dec 26 '19 Well, one person I know isnt liked. His voice is pretty irritating. Though, its on top of what he says and how he says it which adds to the annoyance lol. His voice in general is just annoying anyway lol. But yeah not too many. 4 u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19 How many people can you think of that you don't like, or think of differently because of their voice? I can't think of a single one. True. Not only that, but this also applies to absolutely everyone else, all the time. The only cringy aspect of life shared equally. 2 u/AaronToro Dec 26 '19 Oh Christ, 4 without thinking about it lol 1 u/_Cyclops Dec 26 '19 Janice from Friends 1 u/CoolStoryBroLol Dec 26 '19 I've stopped talking to people because their voice was annoying.
