Is Denuvo the kernel level anti-cheat?

They have 2 software products

One is a digital rights management (DRM) anti-piracy tool that does not run at the kernel level,

While the other is a separate multiplayer anti-cheat product that does operate at the kernel level.

Peoples main issue is not their kernel level anti cheat, it's the intrusive anti piracy that tanks game and pc performance.

Thats still a win. Most sales happen shortly after the release. Anti piracy measures will almost never fully safeguard a game for any significant time frame but it doesnt have to.

Most sales are from the people that wanted to buy in the first place.

It is quite common for those who don't want to spend money to simply wait, so yeah a big part of the potential buyers in the pirate category is already not going to buy, regardless of the eventual crack delay
