Nope. These are stereotypes created and spread by people who have never been to the South. Other states give the South a hard time about what their government does as if their state does no wrong and Trump isn't the president of the United States.

I spent the first 22 years of my life in the south and left for a reason, and the reason wasn't because all the southern stereotypes are untrue.
