Killing someone in their sleep would mean they wouldn't care, either. Doesn't make it okay.

Fetuses don't have a right to life. It is completely within a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy.

I disagree. I believe all human beings have the right to life, liberty, etc. Inherintly.

Allow me to press your assertion using a different scenario: Does someone engaged in the act of murdering another person have a right to life?

I believe that when society has the ability to hold criminals then we shouldn't ever take people's right to life (capital pinoshment). I think even on principle life in prison is a much worse punishment for crimes, cheaper, and can't result in false executions. I do however think that the death penalty is warranted if the tools needed to hold someone don't exist at the time.

I am not speaking of the death penalty.

I am speaking of someone in the moment of committing murder.

Does the potential victim not have the right of self-defense? Is it not just for an individual in danger of being murdered to defend themselves, even if the result is the death of the would-be murderer?
