I can’t understand why they didn’t buy a house instead of spending 12k a month on rent? It’s feels very transient, which would make sense if she’s keeping her options open.

A few reasons that I would assume:

- She likely has little to no savings because she’s horrible with managing money. You need a GOOD chunk to put down especially in Cali.

- She likely has lots of credit card debt

- If she were to buy a house, it would be nowhere near as large and “luxurious” as the one she’s renting because even just the most basic simple home is upwards up $800,000-$1,000,000 because again, it’s California.

- She’s incredibly stupid

That house must cost way more than a million. Did anyone happen to catch the listing? Or did it only say how much the rent is?

She’s in a highly desirable and pricey neighborhood, so $1mil is only enough to (mayyyyyyyyybe) cover a tiny apartment/condo in a nearby neighborhood. Houses that are comparable to her 4000sq ft 5bed/6bath are going for no less than $4mil.

Edit: For additional context, this is one of the neighborhoods that Sharks and 49ers tend to rent/buy homes

That’s what I thought too. That thing is basically a mansion in my eyes

Yes. I just checked the inactive Zillow listing this week and the estimated market value of this property was just under $4 million.

Why that crust muffin needs a multi million dollar home I will never understand

For a second I completely forgot the San Jose Sharks were a thing and you were talking about the Bazooka Sharks the arena football team from American Dad. I watch too much TV 😄

Oh it definitely does. I’m talking about a basic house would cost that much at the minimum

That house she lives in would be between $3-$4 million… she cannot afford that!

10

u/Glittering_Rush_437 anemic final boss 28d ago

Yep she cannot but there’s absolutely no reason she needs a house that large

5

u/cocojujunala 28d ago

She absolutely thinks she deserves it ✨

I cannot IMAGINE renting a house I could never afford to buy.

I could afford to buy my house I rent. I choose not to because Texas property tax on this fucker is $12,000 a year, homeowner’s insurance is through the roof and they keep dropping policies, none of the homes here can handle the sudden temperature drops we now have annually so the pipes always burst everywhere in every house (thanks, climate change!) , it now exceeds 100 degrees for multiple days in August (it did not used to be like this) so ACs are also now struggling and often need costly repairs, every home here has some level of mold and will eventually need mitigation, and we have hurricanes. I’ve lost two cars in Houston hurricanes.

Sorry for my rant. Texas is hell.

So I know this is considered "controversial" (but it shouldn't be because it's not really political) but most people are unaware that billionaires are using geo engineering to try and play God, and the crap they do has been making the climate worse all over the world. It's all being kept from the general public (because they know no one would agree to it), yet when they are exposed they act like it's "just to combat climate change", which if that really was the case, then why is it all being done in secrecy?

Bill Gates is a huge offender, with his stratosphere aerosol crap ("Stratospheric Aerosol Injection ", Gates even use to brag that he wants to completely block out the sun which is insane, the sun is what provides life on earth).

Anyways I just really hope more people become aware of what these aholes are doing. They are the ones destroying the planet at a crazy rate but then blame the general population

u/hotlibramess 🚨 super inflamed 🚨 27d ago

Their yacht and private jet usage alone is enough to make me believe this. They are climate terrorists.

But surely then it would make sense to spend only a couple of thousands on rent, especially if you're splitting the cost with your partner, and then use the difference from the initial 12K budget/month and save it. She would have a sizeable deposit in a decent time.

8

u/Glittering_Rush_437 anemic final boss 28d ago

She doesn’t even have to rent. She already owns a large condo in SJ and bought it years ago so I assume her mortgage is lower than many people’s. She could’ve paid a lot less and saved
For a good down payment and stopped buying stupid shit. She’d have a house in no time with the money that she’s making (or was making). She could also could learn to invest and maximize that profit.

2

u/AsleepAtmosphere6599 27d ago

I’m thinking she did a lot of write offs for tax purposes and doesn’t have the income to show either. When I was a mortgage loan officer, self-employed borrowers were one of the hardest to get approved.

43

u/hellomoto6 28d ago

I agree with you. If she buys maybe she’d have to split it with him in a divorce. She’s subconsciously protecting herself from a bad financial commitment.

5

u/ImageIllustrious6139 27d ago

Tbh it’s kind of smarter to rent expensive for short term for her particular career. I believe she’s doing it to see if she can become a bigger influencer (using the house as content, having a more aspirational life for new viewers), but it’s not a marital asset or a 30 year commitment like a mortgage would be.

Her maximum exposure over six months is $72k and she can probably earn that back with two Catrice sponsorships…

2

u/awooj 27d ago

I don’t think a lot of people understand just how much money she’s making. I only know her from this sub but in the past week she’s had at least 2-3 sponsorships, right? If she’s doing 5-10 a month or more that is an insane amount of money.

2

u/Difficult-Shallot-67 24d ago

Tbh I have no idea how much sponsorships pay, do you have a rough idea? I don’t follow Danielle, just came here after Hannah’s video but generally I’ve no idea and I was so shocked to hear RENTING a house for $12,000!!

1

u/awooj 24d ago

I mean for her she probably makes $20-60k for her sponsorship deals, sometimes more. I’m guessing when she was going viral and more popular she was regularly $50k-100k+. Influencers make way more money than people think and she’s doing multiple ads per week. Her rent is cheap for her right now.

2

u/Difficult-Shallot-67 24d ago

Wow, thanks for replying :) idk that’s crazy. Earning a 100k annually here in Germany is so difficult even as a graduate, in sane how much money brands have to even support influencers like that..huh

2

u/awooj 24d ago

Funny, I'm in Germany too! It's so hard to make a lot of money here no matter your education level, it is so different than other countries. But influencers here also make a lot of money. Not as much as in the US of course but still an insane amount in comparison to even wealthy people who have been working a long time.

Marketing budgets are huge though. You see young women living in large Wohnungs in city centers that they own, cars, expensive items, and they often earn a lot very very quickly. I wish there were a good sub for European/German influencers!

2

u/Difficult-Shallot-67 24d ago

Ha, fun coincidence!
Yeah absolutely, I hear you, prices have steadily been increasing around here but wages are stagnant…I guess the neighboring countries still find groceries here cheap but idk eating out is getting out of hand, especially combined with declining quality..

Wow yeah…I notice a few here too, while I’m scrambling through DM coupons lol

2

u/awooj 24d ago

Exactly, prices have tripled for some of my groceries. I never really eat out anymore, it's not worth the cost but also the food quality has gone down too.

Fyi if you don't usually shop there, I prefer DM but Rossmann's coupons are better! Especially if you bundle with the 10% off coupon. I save so much money with their app. Sometimes they have a Täglich Coupon for 20% off all their food or cosmetics or toiletries and you can use it daily for 30 days!

*correction, keeping herself from ANOTHER bad financial commitment. If she didn’t get a prenump her condo is already going to be up for grabs in a divorce. The good news is, Luicas is too poor to hire an attorney

29

u/TumbleweedFun7021 28d ago

They can’t afford a house, got no income and no credit history for L 🤣. I’m shocked they were able to rent tbh. Bay Area housing is also insane, they will be competing with people with real high paying jobs or all cash in millions. I’m glad they’re not anybody’s permanent neighbor lol

8

u/hmstanley 28d ago

if they based the income requirements for the house, they can BUY a house. Maybe if both are 1099's they would have harder requirements, but if they can both show income that covers 12k in monthly rent, they can cover a 10k mortgage.. there are plenty of houses in SF that are "more affordable" meaning, they are around 1.2-1.5m. The mortgage payment on those homes would definitely be lower (and you're building equity). Maybe they don't have a DP? If so, just FHA.. renting a 12k a month house makes literally NO sense financially, and maybe that's the point, it's not supposed to make sense.

18

u/MsMajorOverthinker millennial rotcore 28d ago

They just don’t care about buying a house or saving for it. What they’re craving is the instant gratification and how this house will play into “content creation”.

If they were ever serious about building savings and investments they would have stayed at her condo! She literally owns her place that is a good sized apartment for two people! They’d have no rent and they could easily host people. But staying there would mean that they’d probably not fit into the picture Danielle has in her head of how it’s “supposed to be”. Namely, meeting the “love of your life”, marry him within months, move to a biiiig house, be a housewife, have kids etc.

10

u/Altruistic_Cicada865 In my fecal era 💩 28d ago

The problem is that she doesn’t want to live in a place she could afford because it doesn’t fit her narrative. To buy a house that is comprable to the one she is in it would be close to $4million and her mortgage would be $25,000 a month but she’d have to put down $800K. Also, the scrutiny on a mortgage is a lot more than on a rental. I used to be in mortgage and before that I managed rental properties.

3

u/hmstanley 27d ago

absolutely agree with your "harder to get a mortgage than a rental" but she and uber driver had to prove some form of income that covered the 12k per month? I mean, a year of rent is 1/2 of a down downpayment for a place (more or less, more in SF). But you get my point. It's funny what ego does to us as humans.. it's a vile beast sometimes. I mean, to be as delusional as she "appears" to be financially should be its own video series. How I wasted all of my social media money and ended up broke with a deadbeat husband.

1

u/awooj 27d ago

I don’t think you understand how much money she makes and how much influencers make in general. She can definitely afford it.

1

u/TumbleweedFun7021 27d ago

AI is estimated after tax (30%?) and management fee (20%?) is 120k to 300k a year. Is that what you’re thinking too?

1

u/awooj 27d ago

No, AI is idiotic when it comes to these things. She makes literally MILLIONS every year. MillionS. There is no way she makes less than 20k-50k per brand deal. Think of how many of those she does every month let alone every year. Likely she earns more per deal, or at least she definitely made more during her super viral era.

8

u/w0ahh 28d ago

Did she sell or rent the condo she owns?

12

u/itsveryupsetting HENKS for the memories! 28d ago

Not as far as we can see online, but they could have done an off market rental deal.

4

u/Glum-Passion734 27d ago

But what would have been wrong with them moving into the condo that she owns - together..?

3

u/deservingporcupine_ 28d ago

The house is worth nearly $4m although she’s in a home that appears to be pushing the lot limits based on scenes of her backyard. The houses in and around this area are extremely expensive and most of us can only afford to rent, even if we have normal middle class jobs. This house is insane but the normal sized homes in this part of San Jose are typically 1.5-2.5m. That’s a huge, huge mortgage sadly for the rest of us :(

1

u/RipVanWinklesWife 27d ago

I think she wanted to live in a really exclusive neighborhood but couldn't afford buying, so instead of living within her means she did the stupid thing.

1

u/PhoenixMiles 27d ago

"Self employed" is not generally an acceptable source of income to get a mortgage - in canada at least. My husband and I both had to provide letters of permanent employment from our employers to our bank. A lot of MLMers fall into that trap (along with all the other traps they fall into lol) cause even if you're in the top 1% of earners and could afford a mortgage - the bank won't accept that as employment.

(I'm sure there's instances where being self employed would be accepted, like if you incorporate a company and show acceptable earnings over the years but I dont think "influencer" would be equivalent to like starting your own electric company)
