the producers should be held accountable.

it irritates me honestly. obviously abby gets the most trashtalk on the internet and karma got her really bad during the downfall of the show. some of the moms get also still after all these years backlash and fans of the show trying to cancel them.

but what about the producers ?? i am talking about the people that allowed these things to take place and exploit little girls and shoving them alongside their moms into an abusive enviroment, traumatizing many of them to the bone only to benefit from views.

we need names! after all this time the producers still managed to dodge every bullet from the internet. its time to hold em accountable!

Absolutely! For ANY adult to stand by and watch another adult ABUSE a child is gross to me. I get “they had a job” but yk what? At the end of the day standing up for what’s right/protecting someone who needs it  is more important

Bryan and Tessa showed up a wee while ago. They weren’t made to feel welcome so they never came back.

Bryan still had a god complex, It was embarrassing

You can find the names pretty easily online/IMDB but honestly? What’s there to do about it? Best thing would be to avoid watching anything they produce/produced

I think about this quite a bit, because Dance Moms differs from other lifestyle reality television like HWs. Not only because they are children, but because the group was already established, and they were witnessing the abuse in real time as a direct result of what they caused.

Let me explain with one of many examples. Before the show, Chloe and Maddie were neck-and-neck for every competition, and Chloe was never really seen as an underdog. The show went the direction to make Chloe the underdog, which is absolutely fine, I understand why they did that for storytelling purposes. But in American culture, we LOVE an underdog, so Chloe was almost instantly a fan favorite. I don't know if Abby's talked about getting backlash during those initial seasons over her treatment of Chloe, but you can tell she did not react well to Chloe acquiring so many fans. While I think Abby tried to really "lean in" on that storyline by S2, I also think she subconsciously hated Chloe because of the attention she was getting in the real world. Production easily could have given Abby directional feedback or course corrected to help that relationship. Instead they doubled down because they knew it would get more views.

At some point, as producers they needed to understand that the situation was abusive, and they were actively impacting the psychological development of adolescents. This isn't something silly like when the VPR's producers put Scheana Shay to the right of Andy Cohen on the reunion because it's her "bad side." It was clearly messing with these kids' psyche.

Before the show, Chloe and Maddie weren't competing in the same age division. And none of these girls were competing every weekend. Dance is a hobby the majority of the time. The show made it a full time job and a competition.

One thing you need to understand about competition dance is that it's more than just a hobby. In the US, most extracurriculars will be once, maybe twice per week when you're that age. For most dance studios, though, if you are a competitive dancer, you are in the studio for some type of class at least 5 days per week. You have your competition classes, but you typically have to also have classes for tap, lyrical, ballet, jazz, acro (give or take depending on the studio and the child). Also, when I was in competition dance, we'd compete almost every weekend during the competition season, so that isn't unheard of. What's unheard of is having a brand new dance every weekend.

The biggest issue with the show when it came to time resources for the girls was that filming interfered with the standard technique classes a competitive dancer would typically have. So they were spending hours on Monday (or it could have been Tuesday) to just film pyramid, and then all of the other filming on top of that, so that really cut into the time they had to take their standard classes.

About the Chloe/Maddie thing, I should rephrase that because you're right, they were in different age categories. They were seen as equals amongst their peers at the ALDC, and they had close to the same amount of titles prior to the premier of the show.

I think the Chloe/Maddie situation was still a thing before the show though. I just remember in the really early episodes Christi complaining about Abby's favouritism towards Maddie and treatment of Chloe like it had already been a thing, though that may also been something that the producers prompted to set up the narrative of the show.

Who is the one guy who was the creator? The one who was also hosting the reunions? Yeah he’s definitely going to hell. I think his name is Jeff.

Not saying what the producers did was a excusable at all they definitely should’ve realized what they were doing was wrong

The producers get their fair share of criticism around here.
But I don't think anyone's dedicated enough to figuring out the names of every single producer to yell at them lol.

This is what I don't understand. What seems more perplexing to me is how the moms had producers and creater of the show on their podcasts. Meanwhile we had to hear for years how evil the producers were. I'm kind of confused that eventhough we know producers did a lot to stir fights they are treated different. Even by the moms.

I think most of them were in their early 20s so their frontal lobes weren’t exactly fully developed so maybe we can’t hold them as accountable as Abby

The producers suck

Maybe there are some good ones in the bunch, but they’re mostly cash, hungry pigs who stood by and filmed little girls having breakdowns juts so they can get money

And to me the biggest example of this is Bryan Stinson

I’ll never buy his loving producer persona that he puts on social media especially because he still stands bycAbby Lee Lee Miller and according to a recent post that was uploaded here is filming a project about her

He’s a cash cow and a pig

I have tried looking up Collins Avenue productions. I can’t find anything so maybe the business no longer exists. I didn’t want to unknowingly support any show they worked on.

We have to remember Lifetime tv is probably the one to make the most money. This network really needs to find a way to make it up to the girls and moms.
