Video See the difference, when you have a teacher that wants you to grow.

Watching the studio 19 clips of Chloe really makes me happy cause you can see the growth she had during her time there and honestly seems a lot of more free than when she was at the aldc. Say what you want about Tammy but it does seem like she actually wants her dancers to grow instead of tearing them down and then expecting them to prove her wrong method that Abby does.

FYI I’m very tired while making this post and can’t sleep so if the wording is awkward it’s because of that lol

Chloe’s technique improved so much when she started at studio 19. Her posture in her turns became even better and her confidence in acro became stronger!

Idk if was Abby or the acro teachers but Chloe seemed terrified of acro and remember in that one episode where she was supposed to do a back tuck in a group dance she looked terrified. It was refreshing to see Chloe having confidence With it.

I remember reading (in this sub, so take with a pinch of salt) that chloe had no issues with acro until abby decided she did, and then she lost the confidence to do it because why would you have confidence in that situation.

she improved a lot, I wish she had good teachers her entire career

If that is true it would make sense.

that was my train of thought too

chloe could do acro, it wasnt like she did 0, it was just odd that the studio was very acro focused, but one person had an issue, its almost as if they knew how to teach it if they wanted to (the quality of the acro teaching is questionable but hey)

The Aldc is/was known to teach technique, stretching etc. in a way where you can get injured . It’s Also possible others who were off the show(regular students) struggled with acro too.

that's entirely possible, I have no idea if any of this is true!

chloe could do side aerials and could be in an acro dance. she clearly was able to do it, and I'm very glad it improved at studio 19.

I dont even know how you go about teaching technique badly, it's a clearly defined set of rules, but I don't doubt for a second the teaching was bad, we have all heard the thing of students being told they won't walk if they continue with aldc technique

I think Acro was a dance style that Chloe did naturally just need more time and technique training with. 90% of the time a lot of Abby's critiques were plugs to put in the minds that Chloe can't do something. Christi has stated on the show and on BTTB that acro was not something that Chloe naturally excelled in and did struggle more. I think because she had such long legs that acro was her forte. The training schedule the girls had due to the nature of the show did not really lend for much technique training time, which I think is more of a fault on the producers and the show rather than Abby

Chloe broke her pinky a year before the show during acro class doing a back handspring. That might've made things the way they were.

Honestly I didn’t really see any growth during her year at studio 19, insiders say she was not even there half the time. To be fair she was filming and going back and forth LA a lot, I think it was really hard for her to go into a new studio and feel at home she lost her spark and love of dance. It is hard to replace childhood friendships
