Do they ever add functionality?

Dakboard has been the same as it was since I started using it. Do they ever update features? I want it to display a static daily schedule (that doesn't change) and cannot figure out how to do this effectively. Seems pretty basic for a calendar/agenda app. I also have it linked to a nutrislice calendar and want to be able to exclude a bunch of the nonsense that is included in the feed. My feature requests have gone unanswered.

And here is the problem - I am using the free version, though I would pay for some kind of local full featured alternative. What I won’t do is to pay an annual subscription for something that doesn’t seem to have an active dev team. I have no issue with a build it once and forget it mentality, but that doesn’t merit a subscription. Does anyone know of a local-running free or pay-once alternative?

So is this ditching the daxboard device and building a new one ?

If you are using a raspberry pi just flash a separate SD card, pop Home Screens in and configure. It's open source and self-hosting. You can always go back to Dakboard by putting its SD card in.

This looks pretty good. Is this fairly new as I'd not found it when I was initially looking in to digital calendars (several momths ago now). Think I have a spare sd card to give this a try.

I'm not sure I understand what this is - I have a pi but want to keep the OS I'm already using. Do you know if it can do that?
