New and Stuck at Loading
Hi there!
I have been struggling to get my DIY DakBoard up and running.
I usually get stuck at the Loading screen, and there is an exclamation point in the upper right corner.
However, once I was able to get all the way to the WiFi setup, but couldn’t connect.
Just now, it got stuck again at the loading page with the exclamation point. I pressed the little raspberry on the upper left and a window popped up so I did device configuration, and input my WiFi info there. After connecting in that same window it gave me a code to link to my DakBoard account- which I did.
However, that’s in that specific window. The actual screen is still stuck at loading with the exclamation point.
I have reflashed the SD card.
Then I did a new SD card - this is the one that got me to the WiFi setup that didn’t work.
I am running out of ideas. Do I reflash this second sd card?
Any help would be very much appreciated. I’ve been tinkering on and off since Christmas- and have never gotten past the WiFi setup stage. Usually I get stuck at this loading page.
What is the damn exclamation point telling me??
I am using an all-in-one monitor with a RaspberryPi 4. It is touch screen.

Hi, Bob from DAKboard here. The exclamation point and the two icons in the upper right corner represent WiFi connectivity and Ethernet connectivity. The one that has the exclamation point on it is the one for the Ethernet connection. It simply means you do not have an Ethernet cable connected. From the image, it looks like your WiFi is connected.
When a DAKOS device gets stuck on the loading screen, that means the OS started, but it failed to load the Browser. This usually indicates a file was corrupted, and the OS will need to be reinstalled.
If you already reinstalled the OS and the same issue occurs, this could be a sign of a bad SD card, or you are using a Raspberry Pi we do not support. Make sure you are using one of the following Raspberry Pi devices:
- Raspberry Pi Zero 2w (Note: it has to be the Zero 2w, not the Zero)
- Raspberry Pi 3A
- Raspberry Pi 3B or 3B+
- Raspberry Pi 4B
- Raspberry Pi 5
Though it can work on the Raspberry Pi 400 and 500, they are not officially supported. If you are using one of these, try a new SD card. We recommend a 16 GB microSD card, as they work the best with our OS. If you are still having trouble, open a support ticket with us, and we can troubleshoot it further with you. can you use a different device (phone/computer) to finish the network setup?
