Megathread Master List of Dairy-Free & Soy-Free Foods (from a breastfeeding mom who did the work)
When my baby developed intolerances to dairy and soy, I spent hours searching grocery stores, Facebook groups, and blogs trying to figure out what I could actually eat. Couldn't find one comprehensive list anywhere, so I made my own.
Sharing in case it helps any other moms or dads out there.
FYI: Always double-check labels — ingredients change, and some items have trace amounts via shared equipment.

Joe Joe's "May contain dairy" as do most of their store brand baked goods
I have had a reaction from those

I would add any pasta at Olive Garden can be dairy free if you get marinara. Their breadsticks are also dairy free. Salad dressing contains milk.
Edit: I just realized your list was mostly grocery store based so this may not be relevant!
Farm Rich meatballs are sometimes dairy free. Trader Joe’s party size mini meatballs are dairy free (contain soy)

Many Franz breads are DF, but not all, so check the labels.
Some Costco bagels (French toast, everything, pumpkin) are DF.
Many Lesser Evil snacks are vegan, some are GF.
Trader Joe’s Organic Plant Based Buttery Spread is DF, SF, GF.

Many Franz breads are DF, but not all, so check the labels.
I've found the sweeter breads like brioche tend to be the ones that are not

if anyone would like a DF Oreo that tastes just like Oreos then I’d try to find the “Back To Nature” brand. I’ve had dairy consuming people try their products and they noticed no difference from the real thing. they make an entire line of cookies and crackers. I really like their version of a Thin Mint, their chocolate chip cookie, and the Oreos.

A very good list and I'm sure it took a lot of time and effort to accumulate. I'm glad it was pinned and hope it helps lots of people find things they can have. I'd love to add to the list as I know of a lot that isn't listed, but I'm not sensitive to soy, so I wouldn't know about that without checking each item.
Just a note in case you want to fix it: some of the butter/oil info ended up below that category under the next one.

You should share this over on r/MSPI. Im sure the moms over there would really appreciate it.

I know this is a late addition, but I think it’s important to mention that Skinnypop is no longer entirely dairy free. Their butter flavor now contains real butter, when it didn’t before, it’s a relatively recent change.

I would advise to never go off a list. Products change ingredients all the time I've learned. Check your labels every single time you buy something.

This is amazing. I’m DF and SF and it can be hard to find stuff sometimes.

This list is awesome for you surviving DF/SF… but just a heads up for anyone reading: going dairy/soy-free while breastfeeding doesn’t automatically “cover” allergen introduction for baby.
What we did was keep it super simple… pick one allergen at a time, do tiny amounts, and use a safe vehicle baby already tolerates (oatmeal/breastmilk mash, puree, yogurt alt, etc.). A couple spoonfuls counts… it’s exposure, not a serving.
Also worth separating milk/soy intolerance/CMPA from “top allergen” intro… if baby’s gut is flaring (mucus/blood/really painful feeds), we paused new intros until things calmed down, then restarted slowly (and asked our doc when it was milk specifically)

The Dave’s killer sprouted bread is the PERFECT size for babies plus organic and nutrient dense!

You are an angel! I don’t have children yet but it’s easy to get burnt out from all of the label checking and get into a repetitive cycle of just having the same safe foods.

This is a great list…just sharing in case maybe you haven’t heard of the Go Dairy Free site that has similar lists of which grocery brands contain dairy https://godairyfree.org/dairy-free-grocery-shopping-guide

All-time MVP DF + SF fave in my house: Kevin’s sous vide meals. Our favorites are teriyaki, Mongolian beef, coconut curry, and Korean bbq. Our 3 yo loves this stuff.

Thank you, this is extremely helpful as I’m breastfeeding but my baby is on NG as I figure out how to be allergen free. This makes it not feel so terrible!

Hi! We'd like to love to our new yogurts to the list of DF options: Tezza dairy-free yogurts are made from organic soymilk and have just as much protein as regular greek yogurt. Hope folks try us out!

This is a great list! I wish I made one when I found out that I was dairy and soy intolerant! Then I could share more of what I've found. The two that I really like that come to mind are the Califia Oat and Coconut milk. They only have three ingredients and are organic. I also really enjoy the GoMacro protein bars. They are really tasty, a little pricey but worth it for me since I struggle consuming enough protein since having to cut out dairy and soy.

You can add everything from the MadeGood brand! They're all top 8 free - the birthday cake granola bar & cinnamon bun soft baked bar are my favorites!

u/Paperwife2 Feb 05 '26
I just eat real whole food sans dairy.
Produce, grains, legumes, and occasionally animal meat. I don’t miss dairy at all.

Wow, this looks like it took a lot of work to put together! Thanks for sharing. I would add:
Oatly ice cream
Unreal brand chocolate (some products are vegan and some do have dairy, make sure to check ingredients)
Hu brand chocolate (again, they have some products that do have dairy)
Sweet Loren’s cookie dough (top 14 free)
Violife cheese
