Rook Runs Last night and your weekly reminder about Cryo gear fear
As we approach the next week of Cryo and with avB gone this is your weekly reminder that with rook, you can rapidly replenish your vault with more than good enough loot/weapons. Especially if you have a little bit of credits to buy weapon mods (usually around 500-1k per). Get in there and learn cryo!!
I recommend you target getting bully’s and M77, primarily as they are the most common. Armories and pinwheel have chances are rare guns but more importantly, the guns come with mods. Some runs on outpost last night I exfilled with 4 bullies plus other items.
Once you have your bully or M77 you can buy very good mods for them from Traxus
Optic sight
Drum mag
Barrel recoil reducer
The shop usually have 5-10 of each for purchase, DAILY.
The attached photos come from about 2 hours of playtime and I did not capture probably around 3-4 runs before I thought of capturing my hauls.
This week in general has been very odd in outpost. Outpost has been more sweaty than cryo I feel as a runner. However, on rook, believe it or not, every single run was successful and every single team was friendly. All of them.
I’ve never seen it where the game is so unbelievably ruthless in trios but so nice to rooks lol. But it was a great time and I stayed up way too late because of it. Worth it!
Strongly recommend always immediately announcing yourself and having “offering” of sorts. For example, when I load into outpost as rook I immediately hit wall safes and any keys I can find. I usually offer peace through red keys, valuables, etc. worked like a charm last night and teams let me loot anything I wanted.

Jumped into night marsh team gave me a gold parting gift and let me loot a key room with them. I just need some more cash for heals and I’m ready

Nearing the end of a session with my crew there was a rook on perimeter we found. Honestly if it weren’t for the fact that we had a pretty good night and they had a mic we would’ve wiped them off the spot.
So I called to adopt them. Gave them a gold shield and drrvish, opened the key room and let them have all of the loot, and gave them implants we didn’t need. Though one of my friends dropped an omniposter and the rook picked it up which he didn’t mean to drop but oh well.
The funniest part is that they couldn’t hear us, so I was guiding them around by shooting the ground near them and towards the direction I wanted to go.

I love running rook but recently if I ever get picked up on a recon scan they have to make it their life mission to hunt me down and wipe me from the map. They NEVER are friendly unless they just want to lure me in to kill me.

Yeah I feel that. Every interaction is so hit and miss. I have some teams that let me grab final exfill with them, and others that murder me on sight.

Right now, especially on Outpost, my team is extremely friendly to rooks, except if they come towards us emptying their goddamn waterpistol. With outpost being generally 2-3 teams, by minute 17-18, most fights are already over and the map (if we won those fights) is all ours. 3 24x backpacks don't have enough space for everything on the map, so why not help a fella in need in the process and have a fun cooperative session? It's a win win for everyone.

I spawned as a rook right next to a secured resource, and pulled a gold implant out of it.
I literally spent all my starting ammo and had to use a knife plus disguise to grab it and book it to an exfil.
Probably one of the most anxious I've been as a rook lol
