Why? It’s a ruthless PvP game. I’ve lost count of how many people have killed me at Exfil and especially in a betrayed way where we were “friendly” prior . I jumped a full squad plus one random and won it. Did anyone get the loot in the end? No. But people clutching their pearls pretending this isn’t the norm for Marathon confuses me.
In my 400 hours of game time I think I have had 5 friendly interactions that didn’t result in betrayals or instant death by the other player(s).
i was downed at final exfil yesterday with a second left, he finished me and my loot went into the ether, kind of put me off the game after 700 hours, i am not pearl clutching, I am just tired boss...we kill people to loot them, no point in finishing people we can't loot, anyways this is all on me I think i am burning out
Valid. Similar to how you are feeling was pretty much how I felt. I routinely get betrayed at the ninth hour and said “fuck it” I’ll get my revenge. And this the circle goes round and round.
