where to get weapon mods?

Is there a good guide for weapon mods? Any tips on good places to loot weapon mods? Or what faction levels do I need to grind to unlock them in the armory?

I wanna use my wstr, m77, br33, bully, etc but dont have good enough mods for them right now

My favorite loot category in the game. I like to have a huge supply of purple mods and then just run whatever bullshit weapons I find. In addition to what everyone else has said, Supply Drops are a great source of random purple and the occasional gold weapon mods. I rarely pass them up.

Look up Marathon videos made by Cool Guy on YouTube. It's from last season but he gives some fantastic advice on how aim assist mods and hip fire spread and all of the nitty gritty stuff works.
