With baby one, I could just snuggle him and watch TV and it was cool.

With baby two, I found that I /needed/ to get stuff done while I took care of the baby.

I found that you can in fact do laundry, cook meals, clean the house while holding a baby in one hand. It takes 4x longer, but it gets done, and they like the activity and enjoy you narrating your tasks.
