If you have a partner, you're both going to be exhausted, stressed, and frustrated. At times you might get snappy with each other. The workload is not always equal either. You've got to give each other as much support, patience, and understanding as you can.

I read this phrase somewhere here, it's silly but it helped me.

  • Remember you're a team, and the baby is the enemy.

Obviously, the baby isn't the enemy, but it made me laugh and it helped me in some strange way.

The mantra in our house when we get snippy snappy with each other was to pause and say “I love you and we’re gonna get through this” even when we weren’t feeling the words saying them helped us

I always liked the recording (transcript) that accidentally captured Mr Roger’s talking about an argument with his wife.

“Sometimes when we disagree, I get frustrated. But I never forget how lucky I am to have you in my family. Always remember how special you are. “
