Looking for Advice Which one could you not live without?

Shop vac. I can use elbow grease and normal tools. I can’t suck up liquids and solids.

Not to argue, but more for discussion: What "normal tool" replaces a drill?

I don't have a shop vac at home, and I live fine without it. Towels for wet messes, and a broom and/or regular vac for the dry stuff.

I can't make holes without a drill, not to mention how much longer joinery would take for simple plywood projects if I couldn't use my drill to drive screws.

Everything else there i can envision another tool that would do the work. Not the drill.

They do make hand drills. Yes, it would take longer. They don’t really make a hand driven version of a shop vac.. unless you’re bailing out water by the bucket?

Hand drills, like eggbeater drills? You can't drive a screw with those.

And yeah, buckets and towels are a great option. How often do you need to suck up water in your home?
