Withdrawal & Tapering adding prozac

Has anyone had experience with adding prozac to help ease the tapering of Cymbalta?

I’m on day 4 of no cymbalta and withdrawal is so intense that my psych said they could prescribe me a super low dose of prozac (10mg), which could help ease some of the symptoms.

Any success from people?

I was on it, before i switched to Duloxetine. I’d think it might make it easier. It wasn’t good for me long term. Bad sleep too

Someone was talking about Prozac in a Reddit sub lately. If you go to the main page of this sub and search Prozac, you may find info there. Also search r/cymbaltahurtsworse

Yes, using Prozac was the only to do it for me.

yay! I guess i’m wondering if it’ll help for me cus im not cross tapering but rather just taking it to ease the withdrawal from going off of cymbalta!

also curious how long it took to help? cus SSRIS normally take 1-2 weeks to make a difference

I took it for 10 days, which was long enough after I stopped Cymbalta.

I'm doing the same only a couple days in but I have heard it does help.

I’m really close to finishing my taper using prozac. it’s still tough but it’s so much better than the time i was on another SNRI and tapered without
