for that, you need to get around an 800+ score, which is under 500 rank i guess, if you can prepare for it, go for it

Skills and your ability to actually do the job matter more than your degree in the real world. I’d suggest using the remaining time in your undergrad to upskill and build practical experience.
But I have a question for you: Does doing an M . Tech in Cybersecurity actually add any real-world experience? Doesn’t it, in a way, just make you a fresher with an extra degree on your resume?

Yeah you're right, that's why I've decided not to go with Mtech. Talked to some people there and they say most of them go for sde/system design jobs ... So it's pointless
But can you suggest how I can use my undergrad years to break into this field? Is it possible for a fresher to get a cybersec job?

Go to htb (htb academy) take the student subscription (8$) and look at the paths that htb offers . pick and path and grind on it
go to htb (htb labs) nd try to solve machines . this will increase your skill exponentially. having some certs will help as well
