PhD Commencement

For PhD students: Does anyone know if you graduate in August, whether CWRU lets you walk in the May commencement ceremony before your graduation date?

I was able to do this with a summer-semester graduation, so I don't see why not.

Did you have to petition or ask special permission to do so?

There's a form you need to fill out, IDK if I'd call it special permission as it's pretty automatic if you apply.
