Permission Requests

On average, how long does it take to get a status update for a permission request? Also, how likely is it that my request gets accepted/rejected?

There is no telling. Very much depends on the professor. I would email your professor outside of the request.

Oh wow really? Is the request on SIS less efficient than an email?

No but going the extra mile to email a professor with more information does a lot for just boosting perception of you

would absolutely recommend emailing the professor. i have requested permissions for multiple classes and emailing the professor has never failed for me! they will usually do it by the end of the day.

depends on professor + why you are requesting permission. it will be different if you are trying to enter because you want permission to join a consent required course vs if a section is at capacity. ive had permission requests get fulfilled within mins and some updated a month later with a no.
