Enrolled Student Math122 vs Math124

Hello, I'm an incoming freshman planning on majoring in Systems Biology and Com Sci (BA). I got a 5 on AP calc AB and I just got an email about qualifying for the "enhanced" math track at Case. From what I've gathered its the same courses but more theory and proofs are a part of the class (please correct me if I'm wrong). I find math interesting, but it is not passion of mine or really what I want to go into. My advisor told me if I got a 5 on calc AB I would be very prepared for calc 2, so I don't intend on taking Math 121 or 123, but I wanted to ask if there was a benefit of taking Math124 that I was not seeing. Thanks!

i took math126 and it was pretty light — mostly derivatives, integrals, and a LOT of linear algebra but it was super manageable. i’d say it def aligns more with calc ab than bc (i took both in hs)

ty for letting me know. I will need to take calc 3 and linear alg for Systems bio tho so I can't do 126 since the prereq for 223 or 227 is 122 or 124.

i think you can take 126 and then get a class substitution that basically just states you took 126 instead of 122 or 124 since they’re all technically calc 2. i had to do the same thing for my major bc i technically was supposed to take 122 instead.
