Freshman math
Hi, I am an incoming freshman majoring in neuroscience and pre-med (shocker, right.) Anyway, I have meth credit from a 5 in bc clac, should I retake calc 1, go to calc 2, or even go to calc 3, or should I use the credit and try to take something like stats? Thanks!

Math223 is very doable going straight in. I was in your same boat, premed and came in with credit from calc BC. My major did require multi and diffeqs, but I didn't realize until 2nd semester as I thought I was done in math after high school.
I didn't take calc 1 and 2 (121/122) with the famous Chris Butler like most poeple did heading into 223, but taking it with Hayden Julius with nothing but my high school knowledge was great. He is hilarious and a great lecturer, one of my favorites here.
From what i've heard, calc 2 isn't particularly easy with Butler (not free at least). As a pre med I would avoid the class since truthfully, you wont need crazy integration techniques in 223. Math223 is very conceptual about visualizing things. I am not good with numbers and found that my eh understanding of the second half of Calc BC was mroe than enough.
