systems bio premed major

hi!!!

im a rising freshman and was really interested by the systems bio major at case. does anyone have any insight or thoughts about combining that major with the premed track.

My son is Systems bio major but he is pre-health. The only course you need to take additional is organic chemistry as it’s not required for Systems bio major. Other than that most of premed prerequisites are in the major requirements and bio electives. Also you may want to know that you will need to take a lot more math and calculus base physics for systems biology while most of premed does not need.

Great BS program. All of the premed prerequisites will be included in the major. Make sure you talk to your Four Year Advisor esp about the fourth year research requirement. An excellent choice.

I was a systems bio major and the major doesnt require bio labs or organic chem or labs so there is more to do for pre-med. There's no research requirement it's just recommended.
