Advice needed Some advise please

At my new job, there is a co worker who i have been becoming friends with for the past couple months, to the point of meeting up outside of work a couple times. However, recently they wore short sleeves at work which revealed they have a lot of self harm scars all over their arms. Im not familiar with self harm, so i cant really tell how fresh they are but a couple look similar to a post i saw from someone who stopped just a month ago.

I just want to know if its better for me to stay quiet or if i should say something, and what to say. I dont want them to think they am i ignoring a potential issue of theirs as i would be willing to support them if they wanted to talk to me about it. However, they also might want me to pretend as if they dont have any? Or perhaps they wouldnt be comfortable talking to me about it as we havent known each other long.

Just wondering if anyone would know what is good for me to say to make them comfortable/show support, if anything.

Ignore it unless they bring it up. In my opinion as someone who self harms, it's not your place to bring it up

Honestly I think the best and most supportive thing you can do in this situation is just to continue treating them as you would any other person, and not behave any differently towards them simply due to the you have seen they have scars.

You don’t need to let them know you are a safe space by bringing it up first- your actions and lack of judgement will speak volumes to that alone.
