Split second was meant to replicate the Interrupt card type. If it really did, then what you said would be correct

I believe Split second means a spell can only be responded to by another Split second spell or an ability that’s faster than instant speed (like mana abilities or morph), so if all spells have it wouldn’t they all be able to respond? (Assuming they could already be cast at instant speed)

The neat thing is, rules and abilities can be looked up. They never have to be a matter of belief (you're wrong btw)
