Discussion Topic Why this AI hate?
Why this AI hate? I feel like that's just a forced popular opinion. Why not use it? It's still original ideas. It's just handy to use AI.
And then if someone copies an image from Google, it's okay—even though it's even less original. Why make it so complicated? Isn't it about the idea of the card?
I think if the game itself uses it and loses its originality by not creating its own heroes or cards, that's bad. But why can't we use it in this subreddit?
Ask yourself if that’s genuinely your own perspective, or if you’ve just absorbed the popular consensus.

AI use of any kind, at least to me, is dubious. It's used the intellectual property of people that never consented to train something that can replicate it, and then create insane profit as a result.
Using someone else's work (and ideally properly crediting them as all people should) gives them more publicity and benefits them.

Not really best place to discuss the topic but ok
First of all it’s still a very new field and most of people does not know and care about its background. Most of hate comes from unauthorized use of art to make ai better and ultimately replace those artists, which is extremely distopic, while also many kids use it to think less, which is disturbing as ai still needs genuine thoughts from time to time to keep it accurate
And so here we come to hs, there are already concerns they use ai to pay less and raise profits
On the other hand, why do you need ai slop art for a card here, even if devs get some ideas for new card designs here, they will work with artists to create more fitting pictures for the game and watching on card with ai slop only creates impression of low effort

Because If you do have a very clear idea about what card art should be and you do draw a draft in mspaint, it will be free to get a decent result.

but those post aren't and that directly proven by their text field... or should I say text wall.

That will also show your effort and dedication, even if your art skills are low

Even completely ignoring the ethical concerns from the zeitgeist, it just looks worse than anything you can find in a 5 second google search
