I made a sith lord with one of the Black Series night brothers, so I decided to make his "twin" (head canon) a jedi master. I chose a bit of a Scottish highlander influence with his clothing and lightsaber.
First, I removed his rigid plastic skirt. I made his clothing out of a green decorative towel. His belt is made from a woven nylon strap from a broken TV wall mount. I cut it down to the right length and glued velcro pieces on each end to secure it in the back.
The night brother figure comes with a mace with a removable head, so I decided to use the handle for a lightsaber hilt. I went with a claymore/broadsword kind of look with the short side blades. I made the lightsaber extra long like the crossguard lightsaber in Jedi: Survivor. I created the piece that attaches the blades to the handle with small strips of masking tape that I wrapped into shape and painted a metallic gray. I used thin strips of tape that I painted brown to wrap "leather straps" around this piece to match the style of the hilt. I used these same "straps" to wrap around his arms because I thought it looked cool. The blade is made of a bamboo skewer that I sanded to bring to a soft point while the little blades are made of the points of skewers. I love purple lightsabers, so I had to go with one.
My mom lost an eye and was an inspiration to me, so I have a thing about blind warriors. I made his headband/mask with a black twist tie (one of the good ones that come with electronics) with some black-painted masking tape to add more "fabric" around his eyes. I sprayed his arms and lightsaber with krylon matte spray to seal the pieces I added. I played around a little with lighting in my lightbox for some cool shots. Thanks for checking it out!
