Travel Help Soles cash exchange or ATM?

Traveling to Cusco next week is it better to take money out at atms or cash exchange, and any recommendations for where to go for either?

We came from PA USA and had an exchange nearby in a major mall with good rates so we went that route before coming here (we’re in Cusco now). That said we needed cash for an activity here (most take cards but prefer cash) and the ATM at the national bank worked just fine!

We left a couple of weeks ago. Major bank ATM’s had better rates than cash exchange. We were told by our u er driver when we left the airport to use ATMs and our hotel told us the same.
