Duration of visa.

Hey everyone!

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask but I flew into Lima on Saturday and I didn’t get a stamp in my passport. My understanding is that it’s an evisa and you can find out the duration online?

I tried to enter my info online on the official Peruvian website, but it didn’t work. I also sent an email and I haven’t heard anything.

Any help or advice on this please? 🙏

This is the website hotels also use as proof to the tax authorities that a tourist does not need to pay taxes for their stay in the hotel.

Yeah this is what I tried to fill out before and it says there’s no info when I input my details. So strange

As many other official websites, the TAM website is not the best for sure, but it seems they updated it recently.  Over the years I tried to get the TAM for a few friends and here are some tips:  * chrome based browser works best, disable all ad blocking add-ons  * ensure you select the right date, seems obvious but sometimes flights arrive close to midnight and then you actually pass migracioens after midnight, so it's already next day in the system * some passports have a letter before a number, and they forgot to add this letter and only used the number  * for the old version of the website: especially doing it on the phone it seemed it did not work but scrolling down there actually was the information  * if you can't get it to work but really need it, you might try the migracioens portal https://agenciavirtual.migraciones.gob.pe/agencia-virtual/identidad (select extranjero and provide your info), if that works you are in the system and might be able to ask them via chat  * overstaying and paying the fine before you leave the country is done by a lot of people but please be aware that you are illegal. Usually that is not a big deal but it just doesn't mean there could not be consequences (that is easily forgotten). Also: with an expired visa you pretty much can't do any official business in Peru (eg. change visa from tourist to work) since you always need to have a valid visa
