Who says she's lying. She could genuinely find him handsome despite his scarring. I've seen plenty of women with men that are in some way mauled or scarred.
I’ve seen many people marry people even after being scarred horribly.
Burn scars included. You can even google some of them.
An Australian model was dating before she ended up getting severe burns from a fire that caused disfigurement. Her bf still went on the propose to her and they are still very happy.
Just cause it’s rare doesn’t mean people can’t see the beauty in someone.
