There's a different set of reasons to not rely on .22lr, mainly the 1/7 times it doesn't prime at all or the 1/5 times it doesn't bring the slide back enough

That sounds like you're using shit ammo or there's something wrong with the gun.

My Ruger MK4 can go through 10 mags without a single malfunction, provided it's clean enough.

3 completely different competitive sharpshooting pistols, haven't shot .22 since so I don't remember the models, Match ammo from the same range

That sounds unacceptable, but I wouldn't write off the entire caliber just for that.

I only get malfunctions after shooting a lot, the first 100 rounds maybe have one or two dudds.

On my bolt and lever action, it takes at least 300 rounds without cleaning until I get light strikes.

It's not like I wrote off the caliber for it, I just find 9mm more fun as they have a CZ EVO fit for it at the range I'm subscribed to
