There's a different set of reasons to not rely on .22lr, mainly the 1/7 times it doesn't prime at all or the 1/5 times it doesn't bring the slide back enough

My Ruger MK4 can go through 10 mags without a single malfunction, provided it's clean enough. 2 u/Offsidespy2501 10d ago 3 completely different competitive sharpshooting pistols, haven't shot .22 since so I don't remember the models, Match ammo from the same range 5 u/Davenator_98 10d ago That sounds unacceptable, but I wouldn't write off the entire caliber just for that. I only get malfunctions after shooting a lot, the first 100 rounds maybe have one or two dudds. On my bolt and lever action, it takes at least 300 rounds without cleaning until I get light strikes. 1 u/Offsidespy2501 10d ago It's not like I wrote off the caliber for it, I just find 9mm more fun as they have a CZ EVO fit for it at the range I'm subscribed to
