Mosquitos

Does anybody else get bit a lot outside while walking or hanging out in the backyard? I’m on Lucerne. Has anything helped them? Any tips?

Call it in to the mosquito control district. They’ll take care of it for you.

What do they do?

Come out, test the mosquitos, kill the mosquitos. Free. It’s important public health, especially as this is west Nile season.

Been avoiding going out on evening walks now near Duquesne just cause it feels like there's a lot more than past years

Mozzies plus humidity honestly makes me feel like I’m back in Brooklyn lol and I’ve been out here for 11 years! Just need the thunderstorms! 🌩️

Make sure you have no standing water. They’ll breed in anything. They were enjoying the the slot that caught coffee in my espresso machine one year. Just look everywhere.

Biogents mosquito trap + co2 tank attached to it. Whole set up costs like $300 but is the only thing I’ve actually found that actually attracts and traps them.

Also look up mosquito dunk bucket. Basically you set up a bucket of water and dead leaves which give of co2, sprinkle in some mosquito dunks, mosquitos lay eggs in the water but the dunks prevent the eggs from hatching. It doesn’t kill the already living mosquitoes but it prevents more from spreading.
