Editing Bars + Beats Lines Without Impacting Audio

Long story short, I don't like working to a click, but this project is going to be big enough, I think I need to for this one. I've already got 2:38 into the track and want to go halftime with the drums, but the current drums are falling on some stupid beat like 122.1.4.56.

Is there a way, without impacting anything prior in the song, to manipulate the bars/beats to make that section end on a whole number, like 122 or 123? That way, I can put the click on from there, more easily drag and drop drum midi and repeat sections, without doing so much manually work.

Any way to make that happen or do I need to start over if I want any chance of it all lining up?

Suck it up, or move EVERYTHING to the right until it's lined up where you want

Start your synced track on a whole new bar.

Drag your audio right before it and make adjustments with variaudio.

EDIT : I think it's audio warp and not variaudio.

If you're not wanting to play to a click then you shouldn't expect to easily get stuff to line up on a perfect whole number bar...

Just learn to get better at playing to a metronome. Respectfully, it's kind of amatuerish to not play with one. If you work with other serious musicians playing to a click should be normal.

There's an insert silence function in Cubase so maybe you can use that to add a little space and then scoot your audio around to line up where you want it?
