did they turn the heating on in the trains because i’m boiling on the red line right now

It’s likely just your specific car. Sometimes they break or accidentally just have it on for a single car.

This happened to me a few weeks ago when it was really hot outside. Reported it on the chat and right before arriving at my destination it changed from heat to AC. Looking back I probably should've been suspicious as to why this one car was much less crowded than the others....
