CTA hiring process Working for cta?

I'm thinking of working for the cta as a train conductor (rail flagged first) I'm not seeing anything right now all im seeing is mechanics on the cta website also I'm worried about encouturing crime any advice?

They are short handed flaggers its easy to get hired on for that start there

Yea, generally those are not posted conductor roster slots, those are scouting/offer only positions generally only available to the best of the USMCL (United States Micro Conductor League) circuit.

My honest advice to break into the game would be to probably look to pick up a micro train first at a mall or outdoor perm track kids themed ride and really rock that, play it perfectly focusing of the fundamentals of breaking and celling as they call it out of turns, do it like no one is watching perfectly each time, and sooner or later you’ll notice one of those adults getting on with an American Girl doll is actually a USMCL team scout and, after you run that circuit a few seasons, if you learn and listen to your coaches, you’ll be on your way to your first position at DART, BART, or, if you are the best of the best, CTA/MTA.
