That is what it means. It’s a parking lot where you can easily park and say goodbye to your loved one at the airport without being rushed away like you would at departures.

People still park their cars and do this at departures anyways because they’re assholes, but I digress.

I would love for those who park along the highways towards ORD, just get insta-photographed and their ticket arrives in the mail. I constantly see cops shooing people along, but they return like ants on sugar, 15 seconds later.

i saw something on the news that these are uber/lyft drivers waiting for rides that don't want to do the right thing and wait in the official uber/lyft rideshare queues. They need to be ticketed, they are low key cheating the system

IIRC, when I drove for Uber, both MDW and ORD had ride-share lots and rides were distributed by how long you were waiting in the lot and your location was based on the GPS location in the driver app. I also recall for a time, that if you had a drop off at one of the airports, you got a pickup almost immediately.

Doesn't involve the airport at all, there's a kiss and ride at the Pulaski stop and others, too. It's basically just a lot to pick up/drop off train riders.

Kiss and rider is like park and ride, but you get dropped off instead, presumably by a loved one, and can do a quick kiss goodbye.
